ORONO and BREWER — The outdoor track and field program from Searsport District High School participated in a pair of Penobscot Valley Conference championship events this week. 

The varsity team traveled to Orono High School, where the boys placed ninth in the small school championships Friday, May 27.

Earlier in the week, the junior varsity team traveled Wednesday, May 25 to Brewer Community School for the conference jayvee championship meet.

Team results in girls division: Orono (134 points), Bucksport (133), Houlton (86.5), Central (66.5), George Stevens (61), Sumner (24), Foxcroft Academy (23), Deer Isle Stonington (17), Washington Academy (16), Piscataquis (9), Dexter (8) and Mattanawcook (6). 

Team results in the boys division: Orono (142 points), Buckport (110), Foxcroft (77), Sumner (67), George Stevens (65), Washington Academy (63), Central (20), Bangor Christian (13), Searsport (11), Dexter (8), Lee Academy (4), Narraguagus (1) and Blue Hill Harbor (1).
