Knox County Girl Scouts prepare for selling season with cookie rally, cookie college
January 25 marked the exciting kickoff of the 2025 Girl Scout Cookie season in Knox County! Girl Scouts from six local troops gathered for a dynamic day of fun and learning at the annual Cookie Rally and Cookie College.
The event was split into two groups: Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors came together for an energizing Cookie Rally, while Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors took part in Cookie College, a more advanced session designed to hone their entrepreneurial skills.
Throughout the event, the Girl Scouts delved into product knowledge and set personal and troop goals. The younger group focused on building excitement for the cookie sale, while the older scouts sharpened their business acumen by learning customer engagement strategies, online and app ordering, and effective booth planning.
A key takeaway for all participants was the importance of money management. They learned how to set a budget, manage funds, and handle transactions with confidence. The sessions also offered opportunities for the girls to practice people skills, find their voice, and build self-assurance through real-life customer interactions.
At the heart of the day’s activities was a focus on business ethics—teaching the Girl Scouts how to conduct themselves with integrity, both in business and beyond.
And the best part? The selling began immediately after the event, so you may have already received a knock at your door or a friendly phone call! The 2025 Girl Scout Cookie season is officially underway!
