WASHINGTON — Cathanna L. “Cathy” Lowe Jackson, 62, of Washington, died January 31, 2025 at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Cathy was born July 10, 1962 in Halifax, Nova Scotia to John Arthur Lowe and Maysie Mason Lowe. Cathy grew up in Saugus, Massachusetts, Canada, and at the age of fourteen moved to Maine where she lived the rest of her life. 

Cathy worked all of her life until she became disabled, many jobs at various places including Crowe Rope, Friendship Trap, Moody’s Diner, Hunt’s Meadow Farm, Chic Dairy and Windward Gardens. 

Cathy enjoyed horses, spending time with her family, music, dancing, bonfires and cook outs. 

Cathy was predeceased by her loving husband, Allen Jackson; her parents, and a few siblings. 

Cathy is survived by her only daughter, Sheila Lowe of Union; grandchildren Natasha Lowe of Newport, Maysie Lowe of Bowdoinham,  Avery Kunesh Lowe of Union, Ashton Kunesh Lowe of Union; three great grandchildren, Kinsley, Hudson and Zavier; many siblings, nieces and nephews from all over. 

A BBQ to Celebrate Cathy’s life will be held July 12, at 2 p.m., at the Washington VFW Hall, 292 Razorville Road, Washington.
