TENANTS HARBOR — Ed and Kay Botkin will be showing their oil paintings and granite garden sculptures Friday, August 16 - 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Granite Gallery in Tenants Harbor. The public is invited to an opening reception on Friday, Aug. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m.
This year Ed will be showing several new works of realistic oil paintings of mid coast Maine. The painting “Red-Right-Returning” is a close-up view of a bell buoy. The “close-up” views are somewhat new for Ed and are presented among many of his more traditional land and seascapes.
Kay will be showing her granite garden sculptures, including a new 60-inch-tall granite sculpture topped with a copper whale weathervane. Her sculptures range in size from eight inches to over five feet tall and can be used inside the home or on outdoor decks as well as on lawns and gardens.
