ROCKPORT — Richard W. Bradford, 74, passed away on December 18, 2023 at Penobscot Bay Medical Center. He was born to Woodrow Bradford and Dorothy Bradford of Rockport on December 22, 1948.

During his lifetime he worked with his father at some of the large estates in Rockport before going to work at Rockport Public Works Department; later, he worked at Camden Public Works Department until his retirement.

He loved to go camping with Judy and his mother Dot throughout the state; but his favorite place was to go to Moosehead Lake.

Predeceased by his parents Woodrow and Dorothy Bradford of Rockport and a longtime companion Judith R. Walker of Rockport and a nephew Terry Mansfield of Rockland.

Surviving is a sister, Fran Mansfield of Rockland; nephew Richard Mansfield (Sam and children) of Rockland; niece Heidi (husband and children of Rockland); Jeffrey Walker of Hope, Kathi Doherty and children of Thomaston; Brian Walker of Jay; and Sherri and Andrew Hart and children of Camden.

A graveside service will be held on June 4, at 1 p.m., at the West Rockport Cemetery.
