Federation of Informed Women to hold meeting May 21
ROCKLAND — On Tuesday, May 7, the Federation of Informed Women held their inaugural meeting at Life Church in Rockland.
“The goal of the Federation is to bring people together to learn what is true and what is not true about some of the controversial issues we face today,” said the Federation, in a news release. “The Federation offers an opportunity to work as an informed community to protect our environment and our society.”
The topic covered this month was climate change and the participants watched the video “Climate: the Movie” followed by discussion.
The next meeting will be May 21, with doors opening at Life Church at 5:30 p.m., followed at 6 p.m. with videos from the IPCC and more discussion.
“All are welcome, but we suggest that if you have an opportunity to watch YouTube Climate: the Movie before attending, please do,” said the release. “We will also choose the issue for the month of June at that meeting.”
