MIDCOAST — The relentless heat and humidity broke for a few hours Thursday evening, July 30, as a thunderstorm moved down from Quebec, sending a heavy veil of rain over Penobscot Bay, and leaving in its wake, not one, but two, strong and colorful rainbows that stretched over any part of the landscape from which one may have been watching.
Whether you were in Warren or Rockport, Camden or St. George, the rainbows centered over the ocean and hills, captivating whoever saw them.
Collected here are shots from a variety of vantage points. Did you get photos of this remarkable phenomenon? If so, send them to news@penbaypilot.com and we will add them to the collection.
