At the beginning of the pandemic, some members of the Thompson Family held their own weekly photo challenge. “Show us your environment” was the theme.

Each week’s gallery was an assortment of spring climates beholden with cherry blossoms, desert cactus, white mountain peaks, muddy driveways, and icy ocean tides. They hailed from Virginia, Colorado, Massachusetts, and inland and coastal Maine.

Many photographers tasked with finding one photo per week can’t simply take one photo per week.
