What’s cooking with Carol Pelletier, culinary director at Midcoast School of Technology
Special guest on The Chris Wolf Show, Friday April 8, will be Carol Pelletier, culinary director of Midcoast School of Technology.
The Midcoast School of Technology is one of the jewels in education in Maine. It teaches real skills for real jobs. At Mid-Coast School of Technology, the unique hands-on programs are oriented towards uniform national standards that prepare their students for academic success and qualified career placement. Programs include Auto Collision Repair, Auto Technology, Building Trades, Fire Fighting, EMT, Culinary arts and Baking/Pastry, Horticulture, Machine Tool, Marine Technology, Mathematics, Residential Construction, Small Engine Repair, Welding/Fabrication and more.
The focus on this show will be on their culinary program with Carol Pelletier. Carol has been an instructor in Hospitality and Professional Baking in Career and Technical Education since 1996. She began teaching at Mid-Maine Technical Center in Waterville and was delighted to have the opportunity to come to Rockland and continue to teach.
She received her Associates of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Maine in Farmington in 1979. She went on to study at the University of Florida in Gainesville and then transferred to the University of Southern Maine and received her Bachelor of Science in Education and in Nutrition. She received her Masters Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Maine at Orono in 2003.
Carol enjoys working with all students in assisting them to reach their goals in baking and culinary. She is a member of the American Culinary Federation and is pursuing national certification for both herself and the baking and culinary program.
