BELFAST — Due to power outages and below freezing temperatures, the City of Belfast has activated a Warming Center on Saturday, December 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Belfast Free Library, for residents in need.

“We are coordinating with Waldo County EMA should power outages and below freezing temperatures continue and an overnight Emergency Center is necessary,” said the City, in a news release.

This will be hosted by the County of Waldo and the American Red Cross.

This information will continue to be updated to the City of Belfast website and Facebook pages and broadcasted on BEL TV (Channels 1303 and 1301) and local radio station WBFY (FM 100.9).
