The Hills to Sea Trail Coalition is seeking a volunteer to assist with maintaining their website and volunteers to steward sections of the 47-mile Hills to Sea Trail.

The volunteer steward positions involve walking a section of trail four times a year between April and October and clearing light debris and identifying areas needing more attention.

A person to freshen paint blazes is also needed. The trail extends from Belfast to Unity and sections range in length from one half-mile to more than four miles.

A handsaw and/or  loppers are the only tools needed and stewards receive a one-hour orientation. Large limbs and downed trees are taken care of by trail crew members with chainsaws.

The Hills to Sea Trail depends on its many volunteers to remain a valued community resource.
