Tiffany Bingham Andrews, obituary
CAMDEN — Tiffany Bingham Andrews, aged 89, passed away peacefully in her home in Camden, on December 17, 2024. She was born in London, England to Hiram Bingham IV, a diplomat, and Rose Lawton Morrison on September 24, 1935. They lived in Marseilles during part of the War and later, in Buenos Aires.
A graduate of Miss Porter's School, she worked at the family company founded in 1837 by Charles Tiffany. She worked behind the counter selling diamonds and assisting with window displays, until she was swept off her feet by a Foreign Service Officer. They were married in two weeks and he promptly took her to Vientiane, Laos.
After many remarkable travels and a nearly ten-year stint starting and running a fishing club in the Florida Keys, she moved to Camden with her sons, where she was a passionate resident for 50 years. She adored this region and through her church, met and married Alfred Andrews, who was her knight in shining armor.
No matter what life presented, whether on Fifth Avenue or in a stilt house with water buffaloes rubbing the pilings below, she was an indefatigable optimist who persistently focused on the best in life and in others.
She is survived by seven brothers and sisters; five sons, Richard Tucker, Jeremy Tucker, Robin Tucker, Jonathan Tucker and Alexander Tucker; four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral mass will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 11 a.m., at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 33 Church Street, Camden, followed by a reception.
