Rockland Harbor Park LLC holds informational meeting about proposed hotel, invites public

ROCKLAND — Acknowledging that the public has questions about a proposed new hotel on the Rockland waterfront, Stuart Smith's Rockland Harbor Park LLC will hold an open, informal neighborhood meeting Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 5:30 p.m. in the space where Amalfi Restaurant was formerly located, off of Ocean Street in Rockland.
The purpose of the meeting is to answer questions that neighbors or other interested parties have about the Rockland Harbor Inn project. A postcard is being sent out to property owners close to the project, but anyone with an interest is welcome.
Last month, Rockland Harbor Park LLC submitted plans to the Rockland code enforcement office to construct a 65-room hotel at 12 Water Street on the Rockland waterfront.
The owners of Rockland Harbor Park Center view this as an opportunity to have an open dialog in a informal setting where people can see pictures of what the inn will look like, where it will be located, how it is positioned to provide significant view corridors, and how the boardwalk and property will remain open to public access and enjoyment.
The meeting is informational, and held by the developers, not the city of Rockland and its planning board.
