Riley School to host inaugural 5K, March 23
ROCKPORT — Riley School will hold its inaugural 5K on Sunday, March 23, 2025. The race route, which participants may run or walk, starts on the Riley campus at 73 Warrenton Street and remains within the safety of the Warrenton/Waldo roadway, according to the school, in a news release, and includes a picturesque view of Glen Cove and a loop down to the Samoset Resort.
The 5K includes a Fun Run for children ages 3-12, at 8 a.m., with the 5K for ages 13 and older immediately following. Medals will be presented to first-place finishers in the following categories: 15 and under; 16 - 24; 25 - 39; 40 - 54; and 55+.
Registration fees are $10 for the Children’s Fun Run, $20 for the 5K Walk/Run for age 16 and older, and $15 for ages 13-15. Learn more and register here.
At 10 a.m., Riley School will also host its annual Maine Maple Sunday event. As a designation “sugar shack” through the Maine Maple Producers’ Association, Riley is officially on the map for the Maine Maple Sunday New England route.
The school will hold its second annual chili cook-off, offer games and crafts for children, live music, and more. This is a free event for all. Further details may be found at this link.
