Record-breaking Golden Gala raises over $115,000 for PAWS Animal Adoption Center
PAWS Animal Adoption Center hosted its Golden Gala celebrating 50 years of service to the community on Thursday July 25th at Cellardoor Winery. Over 200
supporters enjoyed food from Stone Cove Catering, wine donated by Cellardoor and a live and silent auction to benefit the organization.
Eastern Tire was the lead sponsor of the event.
Jill Parker, Vice President of the PAWS Board and Chair of the Gala expressed enthusiasm for the turnout and financial success.
“It was a phenomenal night for PAWS,” she said, in a news release. “The pavilion was packed with supporters, we had incredible silent and live auction items donated by local businesses and a great program highlighting the critical services PAWS delivers to the community. Our goal is to raise over $700,000 through fundraising and events in 2024, and the generosity of our supporters at the Gala will be a big leap forward toward achieving our goals.”
The Gala was hosted by Master of Ceremonies, Keith Carson of NewscenterMaine and Auctioneer Kaja Veillieux led the live auction.
“It’s wonderful to see so many members of the community come out to support PAWS,” said Michelle Davis, PAWS Board President. “Funds raised will support the important services we provide to homeless and newly adopted pets in our community.”
“Eastern Tire & Auto Service is thrilled to have been the lead sponsor of the PAWS Golden Gala,” said Alvin Chase, owner of Eastern Tire & Auto Service. “The event was a resounding success, and we are honored to support the incredible work PAWS does for our community.”
PAWS was founded in 1974 as the Camden Animal Rescue League. Over the last 50 years, PAWS has expanded its services and its reach to over 13 surrounding
