ROCKLAND — Watch for wakes in Rockland Harbor in mid-June, when Journey’s End Marina, in Rockland, holds the annual Rockland Lobster Boat races. This year, the diesels and gas-powered engines poured it on, competing for top speeds.
There were several classes and races, and a special class for wooden boats.
First place for Fastest Lobster Boat went to Tom Clemons and his boat, Motivation. Second place to Andrew Taylor and Blue Eyed Girl, and third place to Heather Thompson, with Gold Digger.
