Jennifer H. Leavitt, obituary
LINCOLNVILLE — Jennifer H. Leavitt, 39, passed away unexpectedly at home following a brief battle with ongoing health issues.
Born in Rockport, December 21, 1985, she was the youngest daughter of Charles, Jr. and Ann Nash Amborn. Always a hard worker, Jennifer has been employed with the Samoset Resort as their Timeshare Manager for over 18 years. Even when her health began to take its toll on her, she persevered, doing everything she could to make it into the office.
On May 5, 2007, Jenny married her best friend and soul-mate, Darryl Leavitt. Together they made their home in Lincolnville where Jenny enjoyed displaying her gnome collection. Family was Jenny’s number one priority in life. She loved nothing more than being a mom to her son, Bryson, showering him with love and care, always making sure to make his life the best she could possibly make it. He was her pride and joy. Second to being a mom was being an aunt and great-aunty, she loved her nieces and nephews dearly. Her sisters remembered she never missed a holiday or birthday, always remembering to send a card or take minute to call them.
Another favorite pastime was going for rides up north, to Moosehead and beyond in her beloved yellow Jeep. Just being together and taking in the beauty around her was something she loved. Her heart was too big for this world, and her light and love will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Predeceased by her grandmother Grace Nash; a sister, Stacy Nash; her paternal grandparents, Charles and Betty Amborn; her father-in-law, Darryl ‘Budg’ Leavitt; and her husband grandparents, Walter and Millie Abbott; Jennifer is survived by her husband, Darryl ‘Chip’ Leavitt, and her son, Bryson Leavitt, both of Lincolnville; her parents, Charles Jr. and Ann Amborn; her sisters Lori Nash and her companion Aaron Philbrook of Camden, Tracy Finley and her husband Charles of Waldoboro; two special friends who were like sister, Christina Campbell and Holly Nadeau; her mother-in-law, Doreen ‘Dody’ Leavitt; her husband’s grandmother Natalie Leavitt of Camden; her nieces and nephews, Joshua Neubig of Belfast, Kobe Philbrook of Camden, Jasmine Young of South Thomaston, Tyler Finley of Warren, Baleigh Finley of Waldoboro; her great-nieces and great-nephew, Isabella Richardson, Aubree Rahkonen, T.J.
