Heidi R. Locke, obituary
UNION — In Loving Memory of Heidi R. Locke. Born September 30,1955 – February 17, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Heidi R. Locke, daughter of Edward and Grace Locke, on February 17, 2025. She was a beloved mother, friend, and educator who made a profound impact on all who knew her.
Heidi was known for her boundless love for her family, friends, and students, her adventurous spirit, and her unique creativity. She had a passion for skiing and spent many winters at ski areas across the country, always with a smile on her face and a deep appreciation for what it meant to her family. An avid art enthusiast, Heidi found joy in both creating and appreciating beautiful works of art and poetry, and her home was filled with pieces that reflected her creativity and love for beauty.
She was also a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox, finding joy in every game and celebrating each victory like a true New England sports fan. She spent many summers making trips to Fenway Park, a place she considered hallowed ground.
Heidi leaves behind a legacy of warmth, creativity, and a love for life.
She is survived by her brother, Robin Locke; her two sons, Peter and Cameron Talbot; and her former husband but best friend, James Talbot, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held Thursday, February 27, from 5 - 7 p.m., at Hall Funeral Home in Waldoboro, Maine, where we will gather to share memories, laughter, and stories of the woman who brought so much light into our lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pope Memorial Humane Society in her honor.
Rest in peace, Mom. You will forever be in our hearts.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Services. To share a condolence or memory with the Locke family, visit Heidi's Book of Memories at www.hallfuneralhomes.com.
