Heather Marie Gregory, obituary
OWLS HEAD — Heather Marie Gregory, 51, left this world too soon, Saturday, December 14, 2024.
Born in Camden, April 22, 1973, she was the daughter of Bradford and June Proctor Gregory. Educated locally, she began her working career as a Certified Nurses Aide at several local facilities, including Shore Village Nursing Home in Rockland.
Later in life she worked for Weatherend Estate Furniture, for several years, working her way up to Finish Supervisor.
Family was Heather’s number one priority in life. Among her most significant accomplishments was raising her three children who were her pride and joy. The addition of her grandchildren opened a whole new chapter in her life. She loved nothing more than being their Nana. Family gatherings, being together at the holidays, monthly family dinners and spending time with all three of her children at once were some of her favorite pastimes.
She had a special place in her heart for animals and collected many pets over the years. Most recently, her ‘wiener dog with a mohawk, Raider’ was her constant companion.
She was a creative soul and loved arts and crafts. She was always up for trying something new, from crocheting, resin pouring, and making lamps, she was very talented. Heather also had a green thumb and loved working in her gardens or taking in house plants to rescue. She never wavered in her compassion for others. She was always there to support her family and extend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Heather will be desperately missed by all those that she’s left behind. Our hearts are so broken by this unexpected loss. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
Heather is survived by her mother and step-father, June and Philip Morris of Tenants Harbor; her father, Bradford Gregory of Rockport; her companion, David ‘Joe’ Pittman of Owls Head; her children, Daniel Gregory of Rockport, Anthony Dec of Owls Head, Tia Gregory and her companion Kevin Montoya of Lisbon Falls; her grandchildren who were the light of her life, Gracelyn Elizabeth Marie Dec and Adalynn Torvi Rose Dec, and their mother KaleeAnn Miller, who Heather developed a close relationship over the years. She truly thought of her as one of her own.
She also leaves behind her sisters, Sharlene Beal and her husband Nate of Union, Billiejoe Marr of Rockport, Michelle Knight of Rockland, Amber Scott and her husband Ben of Waldoboro; her step-siblings, Lyle Morris, Gary Gilbert, whom she thought of as a brother, and Darci Harvey and her husband Chris; many nieces and nephews as a well as a large loving extended family.
A celebration of Heather’s life will be announced at a later date.
