Girls on the Run seeks volunteers, host sites
Are you interested in supporting and empowering elementary and middle school girls in your community? Do you have time after school to coach and mentor girls to build life skills through running (walking, skipping, or otherwise moving forward)?
Perhaps you can’t commit to afterschool volunteering, but you have the community connections and organizational mindset to coordinate and set up a team in your community?
Girls on the Run Maine is looking for you! Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a national nonprofit organization that teaches girls in grades 3-8 the skills they need to be healthy and confident individuals, using running as a tool to teach positive life skills and empowerment.
Whether you consider yourself a “runner” or not, Girls on the Run Maine is looking for individuals interested in starting a team for the Fall 2022 season.
The fall season will begin the week of September 12 Teams meet twice a week for 10 weeks, culminating in an end of season 5K with girls from all over the state.
GOTR provides coach training, curriculum, materials, support, and so much more.
Girls on the Run Maine is also looking for host sites in the Midcoast to support teams for the Fall 2022 season.
