Expired Marine Flare Disposal Day to have sites in Rockland, Searsport

Maine’s Fire Marshal’s Office has scheduled an “Expired Marine Flare Disposal Day” for Saturday, April 13, 2024. The locations will be at Hamilton Marine in Portland, Rockland, and Searsport.
Anyone who has expired marine flares can bring them to any of the Hamilton Marine locations, on April 13, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the Fire Marshal’s Office will collect them for safe disposal.
The Fire Marshal’s Office will be coordinating its efforts with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and Friends of Casco Bay.
