Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with The Napper Tandies at Watts Hall
THOMASTON — Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with an evening of lively Irish folk music featuring The Napper Tandies on Saturday, March 15, at 7 p.m., at Watts Hall, 174 Main Street, Thomaston.
"For nearly twenty years, The Napper Tandies have been thrilling audiences with their energetic take on Irish classics," said Watts Hall Community Arts, in a news release. Featuring piano accordion, banjo, bouzouki, and upright bass, the group brings their signature sound to beloved songs such as Whiskey in the Jar and The Leaving of Liverpool, drawing inspiration from legends like The Dubliners, The Clancy Brothers, and The Pogues.
Their performances are known for their infectious energy, rich harmonies, and the kind of music that gets feet tapping and voices singing along.
The trio—Chris Brinn, Matt Smith, and Randy Billings—formed in 2000 after meeting in a brewery and discovering their shared love of Irish folk music. Named after the founder of the United Irishmen, The Napper Tandies have been performing together ever since.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and all ages are welcome at this family-friendly event.
A cash bar featuring beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available, provided by The Block Saloon. Concessions will also be available for purchase.
Tickets are $20 in advance, and $25 the day of the show. For more information and to purchase advance tickets, visit wattshallthomaston.com.
