BELFAST — The Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce held its annual Awards Gala on Friday, November 8, 2024, in the Bay View Room of the United Farmers Market of Maine, in downtown Belfast.

"The Chamber thanks their membership and community for voting and supporting these great businesses and organizations," said the Chamber, in a news release.

This year's award winners were:

• -Bell the Cat - Business Growth Award sponsored by Bangor Savings Bank
• -Portable Pie Place - Rising Star Award sponsored by Stanley Chevrolet and the Maine Chevy Dealers
• -Belfast Curling Club - Hometown Heritage Award sponsored by Camden National Bank
• -Hey Sailor - Waldo County Business Award sponsored by First National Bank
• -Waldo County Bounty - Health Care Partner Award sponsored by MaineHealth - Waldo Hospital
• -Nautilus - Resiliency Award sponsored by Central Maine Power
• -Our Town Belfast - Chamber Partnership Award sponsored by Front Street Shipyard
• -Kathy Given, Belfast Harbormaster - Citizen of the Year Award sponsored by Mathews Brothers Company

United Farmers Market of Maine and staff hosted the event, Delvino's Grill & Pasta House catered, Brian Frus of Mainely Gallery & Studio provided custom awards, the 'recently retired' Ned Lightner provided videography.

Major sponsorship came from SolarLogix and MaineHealth - Waldo Hospital.
