THOMASTON — Adelle Marie Newcomb, 73, passed away at Maine General Hospital in Augusta on August 11, 2024 into the loving arms of her savior. Born in Rockland, Maine on November 30, 1950. She was the daughter of Robert and Glenice (Munro) Cuthbertson.

Adelle grew up in Rockland where she attended Rockland schools and graduated from Rockland High School in 1969. She worked at National Seafood in Rockland and Hathaway Shirt in Gardiner, and also took in foster children in Brewer. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, coloring and playing games on her phone. She also enjoyed doing children church and played accordion at the church when she was younger. Adelle was a faithful member of the Thomaston Assembly of God.

Adelle was predeceased by her dad, Robert Cuthbertson Jr.

Adelle is survived by her loving husband, Delmar Allen Newcomb Jr. and their son, Michael Allen and wife Courtney Newcomb; granddaughters Ashley and Revellie Newcomb of Texas; grandsons Kayleb Newcomb of Ohio and Joey Newcomb of Sanford, Maine; sisters Jackie Mank of Camden, Jan Cuthbertson of Camden, Faith Cuthbertson, Janet Wardwell; brothers Robert Cuthbertson III and wife Dee of California, Jon Cuthbertson and wife heather of Corinth, Maine.

She is remembered by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, August 28, at 11 a.m., at the Assembly of God in Thomaston, followed by a burial at village cemetery in Thomaston. There will be a gather at the church immediately following the burial.
