Tourist Tracks
Tourist season is in full swing and there are a lot of new faces around town. I stopped to talk with some of our visitors who paid the Penobscot Bay Chamber of Commerce a visit during the July Fourth weekend to see where they were from and what brought them to our area.
Natalie Jaime, Craig Faulhaber, and Dave Biagioni were visiting Camden for a wedding in Rockport this past weekend. This is the first time in Maine for the three Coloradans. They were hoping to go rock climbing while in the area and enjoyed seeing the Belted Galloways. They liked discovering that people from Maine are called Mainers.
Lary Hinds of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, came to Camden for a week aboard the Lewis R. French schooner. Lary enjoyed his trip, said they fed him very well aboard the schooner and looks forward to coming back again next year. The schooner raced in the Great Schooner Race this weekend and came in second place!
David and Sandi Blanchette made a day trip to Camden from Orland to enjoy the shops, scenery, and the people. They love coming to the Windjammer Festival and are looking forward to seeing what Christmas by the Sea is like this Decemeber.
